What should a complete beginner expect in their first Muay Thai class?
Your first class focuses on foundational stances and basic strikes in a small-group setting. We provide all gear, a supportive pace, and no pressure to perform—just a great introduction.
Do you offer any programs specifically for weight loss and fitness?
Yes, at 8 LIMBS, we offer high-intensity Boxing Fitness classes, full-body workouts designed to maximise calorie burn and improve cardiovascular health, using boxing and Muay Thai pad work.
How do you ensure safety during sparring sessions?
Sparring is optional and closely supervised. It requires coach approval and mandatory use of full protective gear (shin guards, gloves, headgear). We strictly enforce control, respect, and technical practice over power.
What is the difference between the Muay Thai and Boxing Fitness classes?
Muay Thai classes are technical, and focus on teaching the “Art of Eight Limbs” (fists, elbows, knees, shins). Boxing Fitness is a non-contact, high-energy workout focused on punches, footwork, and conditioning.
I have a previous injury. Can I still train?
Yes, if you have a doctor’s clearance, we have no issues. We recommend a private consultation first. Our coaches are experienced in modifying techniques and drills to accommodate most injuries safely.
What is the typical class structure?
Classes follow a consistent format: a dynamic warm-up, technical instruction and drills, pad/bag work to apply the techniques, and a conditioning or cool-down segment.
Do I need to be in good shape to start?
Not at all. Our classes are scalable for all fitness levels. We focus on proper technique first, and you can build your intensity and stamina at your own pace.
How does the gym help with progression from beginner to advanced?
We have a structured curriculum. You’ll start in Fundamentals classes and, with coach assessment, can progress to more advanced technical and strategy-focused sessions.
Is there a strong community aspect to the gym?
Absolutely. We host social events, in-house seminars, and encourage partner work to foster a tight-knit, supportive community where members motivate each other.
What should I wear and bring to my first trial class?
Just wear comfortable workout clothes and bring a water bottle. We provide all the necessary training equipment, including gloves and hand wraps for your trial.

Contract Agreement

  • We charge $69 in total for the full 14-day program, which is non-refundable.
  • We will provide you with unlimited training for 14 days.
  • After the initial 14 days, you will automatically roll over onto a fortnightly billing cycle where we will charge you the discounted rate for $138 ($69/week, normally $75) every two weeks until you notify us.
  • After you roll over onto the fortnightly billing cycle, you have a window of 28 days to cancel this membership. You can notify us through email.
  • If you do not wish to continue after the first 14 days and move onto a fortnightly billing cycle, we require 2 business days’ notice before the end of the first 14 days to process the termination of your account.
  • This promotion includes a free set of boxing gloves or equivalent at our discretion.
